This all in one player was a huge upgrade from my last turntable with built in speakers - aesthetically and sonically. It's surprisingly large and well built for its price, yet minimalistic and easy to use for any user. VERY loud if you want, at 1/4 volume you can listen alone. At full volume, the sound fills the entire room without distortion or clipping. The speakers are also surprisingly crisp. If you are looking for a high quality all-in-one turntable, choose this turntable one of the "suitcase style" turntables. The extra price for wood was worth it, very pleasing to the eye. Had to downgrade from 5 to 4 as there was a fair amount of unnoticed (?) manufacturer's glue on some of the black plastic parts. Didn't affect playability or anything visual after deleting, but it seemed unprofessional to look at while taking it out of the box. The company needs a little more attention to quality control. Don't let that hold you back.
