Just buy knee pads.
I have very wide hips so these leggings don't fit very well. There is an elastic at the top of the knee pad that was supposed to hold the leggings in place, but the elastic broke on one leg when first putting them on. Another rubber band holds but blocks blood flow. In addition, there is no real padding in the knee area, but a piece of fabric.
