I originally planned to buy a new popular color that would last eight months. After reading reviews about dogs with horrible skin rashes I decided to stop by. Luckily I stumbled across this and decided to give it a try. When I opened the package I was a little concerned that the locket was too big and hanging too low for my small mug. When I finished my inspection, I attached it to the puppy's collar. Everything seemed fine for about two minutes, then he realized it was there. Then he began to toss and turn until he found a way to put the locket in his mouth. That's exactly what I feared! After trying to figure out what to do, I realized I could just sew it onto the collar. It seems to be working very well! Other than that, it seems to be working fine. Wearing a little over 2 months, no fleas, no ticks, no rashes! I live in western Pennsylvania and this time of year (April, May, June, July and August) fleas and deer ticks are at their worst! I will definitely buy it again and also recommend it. Size and length are something to consider. But if you have a big dog, a dog that doesn't care or can't sew, I say go for it!
