I was ready to be blown away by this flashlight but was pleasantly surprised. The LEDs are very bright, and while they may not be as visible in bright sunlight, they are very visible on cloudy days or at night. I tried to see how long the charge would last and settled on five hours. Enough time for my usual two-hour motorbike rides. If you need more than that, get 2! It charges fairly quickly, even at 1 amp, and there's a small rubber door on the back above the USB port. The velcro adhered very well to my helmet and the curvature of the device, while not exactly matching the back of my helmet, was very tight. The velcro itself is very strong, there is no chance of it falling off. When I wanted to take it off I actually had to use a small screwdriver to loosen the Velcro because it really held up and I didn't want to pry the device open too much. I'm sure after a few uses it will be easier to lose weight. The center on/off/3-mode switch feels very solid, and the little winged V logo is a nice design. Unit is 3 1/2" long, 1 3/8" wide, 1/2" thick in center, 5/8" at edges. Fairly small and not bulky at all, but I repeat, surprisingly bright. I think each of the flashing modes is the most noticeable. The photo does not show the brightness, only the size. I'll have to see how long it lasts, but it seems like a solid device worth the price. It comes with a nice 2ft USB cable, but you'll need to use your own charger.
