Great little container for snacks and cereal

I bought this for one reason - I needed a 'cereal jar' that I could use when travelling. I can store dry granola in it so I can chew it from time to time without having to pour it down my dirty mittens or sprinkle crumbs all over the place. This particular bottle is just about perfect for the task. So I understand you need a wider neck on the cob - at least 1.25" diameter depending on the flake. Even when the individual pieces of flake are smaller than this size, they tend to stick together in the aggregate. in smaller diameter spouts. However, you shouldn't go too far, because then the flakes will spread in all directions, that's not really possible. The 10 oz works better, but with the extra space you can kind of shake. The special geometry of this bottle also contributes to this - the rectangle fits perfectly in the side pocket of a laptop bag and feels good in the hand. The lid is firmly screwed on and takes up practically no additional space. So almost perfect. Anyway, I'd like to increase the spout a bit, maybe to 1.5 inches instead of the current 1.4 inches. But it actually works fine the way it is. I have successfully tested it with live grain and raisin bran. I assume it will work with any comparable sized flake. Of course I bought it as a cereal bottle, but you can also use it to store snacks, especially powdered ones, which can leave a residue or odor on your hands. They also have an 8 ounce version of the same bottle that might be better proportioned for that. I recommend for the purposes described.
