I've been tracking these little boards for days and found that about 5 percent of the time they just crash and have no sound for a few seconds during reboot. Bonus: You will be reset to the MAXIMUM VOLUME WHICH WILL BREAK YOUR DRUMS AT THE NEXT BEEP WHEN YOU DON'T EXPECT IT. They seem to play audio well intermittently: e.g. B. play a sound, wait a second, play another sound. I think that sending too much data to the boards too fast could overload the serial connections and cause the boards to fail. I would have advised you better if I hadn't gotten a C- in CompSci twenty years ago. These DFPlayers would be great for your Sunday afternoon church picnic with Arduino sound effects, but I'd think twice before using them for anything. where reliable audio reproduction is crucial. Again, it's hard to beat five boards at this price point.
