Initial inspection out of the box showed some areas of weld spatter (not very noticeable once installed) and some paint wear, probably due to rumbling in the box during shipping. The flanges are nice and thick and the hardware seems to be of good quality. (The thread is 3/8-16 with flanges installed and reduced heads for clearance.) I disregarded the supplied gaskets and used those from my upper repair kit. This part number includes the fitting on the left hand manifold for the EGR tube and all the parts and instructions to modify the power steering bracket and connect the riser. The radiator pipe and power steering bracket modification were NOT required for my vehicle and I have not seen any '96-later 5.7L engines requiring it. The headers stick out further on the sides than the stock exhaust headers, but the headers match the stock Y-pipe nicely. I need to make a simple heat shield for my heater control valve, a modification that the instructions mention as Suburban specific since only suburban models have a rear heater. Haven't had a chance to run them yet, but when I do I'll comment on how they sound.
