I received this because my audio jack didn't recognize my microphone and the sore prevented me from using it. This is a great temporary solution to this problem until I can send my laptop in for repair! It's a simple little device that plugs directly into a USB port and you can plug in headphones or a headset. This not only allows the microphone on the headset to work, but also to sound. I recommend this product 100%, especially if you have problems with microphones and sound.
