Review on πŸ”Ή STADEA Premium Grade 5-Inch Wet Diamond Polishing Pads Set for CONCRETE Polishing by Eric Williamson

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Good pads but room for improvement

Pros: Good price. They polish concrete better than wet/dry sandpaper. They seem to last a while as I've worked about 40 square feet of molded concrete countertops and I feel like there's plenty of life left. Although the 100 grit was a failure, the countertops ended up being very nice and smooth. The protective pad is very firm, so you don't have to worry about it falling off. You don't have to grind for a long time to wear down the resin teeth to a real grit. Cons: Some tar filings broke off very easily before even starting. The discs are not very flat and also quite stiff. So if you bend them severely they will surely break, not bend. I had trouble using the 100 grit pad to remove material very similar to the last 50 grit. The 100 opened up more pinholes and exposed more aggregates in less time. The grainy labels have almost completely worn away on me, fortunately they are in color. One final note: I think I prefer white resin over black resin. For some reason I like to see the sand floating in the material, which is not possible with black resin. If I could go back I would use them on a test piece first to make sure I know how they would work first.

Pros
  • Pack of 5 wet diamond pads, 1 each for 50, 100, 200, 400, 800 grit
Cons
  • Not sure
