They're all the same -

There was no noticeable difference between the cereals. The lowest (50 grit) was much slower than regular 80 grit paper; looked more like 220. Stopped using it.

Good enough for body repair tools

Worn out quickly. Certainly not as long as the expensive brands we use at work. But these are not expensive brands. And I kept the pack. Also, they did my job with 6 DYI counters for my house. Many Thanks.

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers

Great for polishing!

Filled the countertop in place. We wanted to do an open aggregate finish. BUT we started with a 4" polisher and a diamond grinding plate. The diamond plate is all metal and VERY aggressive. THEN we used these disks. The end result was awesome. They worked a bit slow to make big open aggregate stones. Here That's where the diamond backing pad comes in. They worked VERY well for the finishing touches. Cut from the start. Worked to a good finish. WORTH THE MONEY! The top feels like oiled glass!

Good Enough: Tools and Equipment

Overall a good buy. This allowed me to polish 45 square feet of concrete countertops with my 5 inch random orbit sander. Most of the discs are completely worn out to the point of being unusable, but they served their purpose. I needed a 30 grit disc. 50 grit was not enough to expose a small amount of coarse aggregate. I used up the first 50 grit pad before deciding to buy a 30 and another 50, would definitely buy again along with the 30 and an additional 50.

  • Solid build

Suitable for concrete worktops

I used this to sand concrete worktops for an outdoor kitchen. I used them on an orbital sander and used a sponge to add water as I went. It was'nt easy. The 8000psi countertop mix is pretty hard as a nail and I spent hours with a 50 grit to get the desired coat and then about half that time with each of the successive pads. The pads held up pretty well and I didn't completely use up the sand on any of the pads. I bought an extra 50 grit because the felt on the back started to peel off after a…

Works (wet)! on Body Repair Tools

I don't know what happened to the pads that got bad reviews, mine are just fantastic. I polished the bathroom floor to get it dirty and they weren't even half worn. A few tips: - Do not use dry! The sprayer with water to spray the surface keeps them going, it's easier on hands and less dust. I have a cheap random orbit sander that I don't regret. Of course, do not spray the grinder and do not form puddles. Most power tools still don't like water. Set the grinder to the lowest speed. This is…

Better than expected! Good value for money

They worked surprisingly well! I know a lot of reviews have complained about the pads wearing out at the end of their project but compared to what you pay for more expensive pads I think they do a great job for the price. For $30 I could completely wet 800 square feet. Feet of concrete countertops. The reason I give 4 stars is because when I got to the green backed sanding pad (200 grit) the green color had actually faded from the concrete. I didn't really care since I stained the concrete…

Pros
  • Works great with concrete block wet polishers, 2.2mm pads, 4500 rpm max, 2200 rpm optimum; Available as individual beans or in sets

works as well as more expensive

Q I've used A LOT more expensive ones brand in the past (and many times more) and I'm scratching my head as to whether it will live up to my expectations. I've used them on concrete, marble and granite and have been very happy so far. It was interesting that the distance between the "teeth" was smaller, but with the small amount of water used when using it I didn't have any clogging issues and also I felt like there was less opportunity for chipping for the same reason. (Think of it like car…

Good pads but room for improvement

Pros: Good price. They polish concrete better than wet/dry sandpaper. They seem to last a while as I've worked about 40 square feet of molded concrete countertops and I feel like there's plenty of life left. Although the 100 grit was a failure, the countertops ended up being very nice and smooth. The protective pad is very firm, so you don't have to worry about it falling off. You don't have to grind for a long time to wear down the resin teeth to a real grit. Cons: Some tar filings broke off…
