This is more or less what it should be, a two piece cotton duvet. I felt the quality was insufficient. The thread count is very low and the seams unravel in a few places. When used under a duvet and over some sheets I see it last for several years. But if you only use it in the summer with frequent washes, I doubt it will last more than one season. For reference, I bought my first blanket at Nordstrom's anniversary sale a few months earlier. I paid $35 for a beautiful quilt on sale. With a typical price tag of $100, it's in the same price range as this Greenland Home blanket; However, the Nordstrom blanket has better stitching and a sleeker and more expensive look. The yellow is canary yellow, not flashy or garish. I've wanted to give this color as a gift for a long time, so I'm keeping the purchase despite my reservations. My sister who will receive it is a lot less picky than me. If you insist on high quality, look elsewhere. As I said, I found a quality blanket for $35, but I would have paid full price.
