Bought a Saeco Easy Fill coffee maker to replace another brand with the same features (no need to retrieve the coffee maker from under cupboards) which stopped working after 5 months. I've waited a few weeks for it to come out - so far I'm satisfied. Just made a second cup with Saeco, the machine has been running for an hour and the coffee is HOT. The instructions in the guide aren't very clear, but it was pretty easy to figure everything out. Press the button on the front and the water/coffee container slides out of the machine. Pour in water, stand on the counter and pour in coffee, put back in the machine and press start. It comes with a permanent filter, but I never liked them: even the instructions say you'll end up with soil in the carafe. I didn't realize it needed "cone" filters and I had about 200 "basket" filters left: I just took out the permanent filter, put the basket filter underneath, put the permanent filter back in and poured in the coffee. The machine is really quiet, nothing gurgles and sighs! This is the first coffee maker I've brewed so brand reliability is still questionable (never heard of Saeco before) but I'm happy so far. I can't believe more companies aren't designing coffee makers that you can leave under your cupboard! UPDATE: The Saeco coffee maker has been around for a few months now. Still very happy. LOVE that it beeps when the coffee is brewing (for those times when I'm busy and forget I started it) and beeps again when it turns off (so I can drink my last cup while it's still hot - and she's still hot after 2 hours!). The ONLY thing I don't like so far is that when I pull out the hopper to empty the bottom there are drops of water on it that inevitably roll onto the floor/counter. It's okay if you're careful and it's just a few drops. It could be easily solved if they change the design by slightly tilting the top towards the middle. To be honest, that's the ONLY thing I don't like about this car. Very satisfied, clear recommendation! Thank you Seco! UPDATE February 2013: This coffee maker is still working after almost 2.5 years! It also makes excellent coffee. Other reviewers have written about the machine beeping without warning and this has happened to me maybe 4 times since I bought it. I just turn it off, turn it back on and the beeping stops. I've started using cone filters to avoid coffee grounds in coffee - works really well. Very glad I bought this, it took a LONG time :) UPDATE December 2014: Almost 2 years since my last update, the coffee maker is STILL "brewing". I've had a beep issue once or twice since my last review; had to unplug and plug the machine multiple times, but eventually it stopped. The carafe appears to have spilled more coffee than usual onto the counter while pouring (when will manufacturers fix this?). Even though I'm very careful and water very slowly, sometimes it's a big mess. All in all I'm still very satisfied. Last month I tried to deep clean the water tank. With a toothbrush, I could get to most places in the pool, except for the furthest corners. So far I'm very satisfied and I can't believe it took so long.
