I picked them up as we have some Apple devices with this fraying connection problem when you have those bare wires next to your head . As stated in the description, we don't seem to be getting the same incompatibility message as we've had with some 3rd party brands in the past. Then this wear and tear issue with the Apple brand doesn't seem to be a problem for them as they look MUCH more robust than Apple's. They have a heavier wrap and that spring at the junctions (both ends) seems to solve/fix the problem.
