Review on Secure your gear with Thule 538XT 6-Feet One-Key System Cable Lock by Aaron Webb

Expensive with little benefit

Is this a cheap lock? Yes. Is it a bit expensive? Yes. So why did I give four stars? Three reasons: 1) He does what he has to do. Locks like this are just a deterrent to keep opportunists from getting away with a bike rack while you're grabbing a bite to eat or going to the store. They are not designed to deter professional thieves with time and intent. 2) It fits the bike rack. Pretty clear. I have a black Thule bike rack with a black Thule locking pin and it's a matching black Thule lock. It is very convenient to have a key to unlock both this cable lock and clutch pin. So if you don't need to use the same key for other Thule locks and don't want a consistent install, I would suggest that you go with this lock and get a better one for less money. However, if you address the three points I've outlined, then this lock is for you.
