My daughter (70th percentile daughter, 8.5 years old) found this waistband more comfortable than some of the other open leg jogging pants she's tried, but these pants are way too short. They can be 1-2 inches shorter than these other two we tried (all three are medium): * Hanes ComfortSoft EcoSmart Open Leg Joggers (50% poly, 50% cotton, fits my daughter the longest, although they shrink can). I wish the L version didn't have such a big waistband, otherwise I would have left it.) Tech Fleece Open Leg Pants (smooth athletic fabric, 100% polyester, perfect for my daughter)
