Review on Golden Clear Leveling Gel Medium: Achieve Smooth and Professional Artwork - 8 Ounce by Lori Aguirre

I have been using this gel as a finisher in multimedia projects for many years. I use acrylic paints, oil and chalk pastels, watercolor and ink, charcoal. During my work I use Sennelier Fixatif for oil pastels. This is my finisher. People should be aware that it leaves a kind of semi-matte finish. Definitely not matt, although the effect is less noticeable when the work is framed under glass. I like this as a finisher because I use Warercolor paper and it's "self-leveling" meaning it won't lift if you don't apply it carefully, although you should anyway! I always notice that when I first apply it, it looks a bit bluish and cloudy. It quickly dissolved and became crystal clear. Let it dry for at least 20 minutes. It's sticky to the touch, it's not completely dry. After drying completely, it becomes perfectly smooth. I usually work on 18x25 paper. This 8 ounce can will probably cover 10 grand.
