Review on Beadalon Knotting Pliers: A Must-Have Tool for Precise and Effortless Jewelry Knotting by Nicole Mcleod

Great on their own, the Beadalon Pliers are perfect for fine detail work in jewelery making. I borrowed the exact same pair from my mum and was happy to find them at Revain so I could buy my own pair. However, when they arrived, even before I opened the package, the metal of the tongs was covered in smeared fingerprints and some kind of powdery substance. I have several Beadalon pliers and the metal in the packaging has always been shiny and new. When I opened the packaging to inspect the pliers I found that the pliers tips were not smooth and new and looked like they had been damaged once and then re-sharpened in an attempted repair. And yet somehow the package stayed intact. Thinking it must have been a one off accident, I sent them back and asked for a replacement pair. The spare pair is even worse! Covered with stains and fingerprints, there is rust on the metal and the tips are obviously damaged and repolished. These are NOT new pliers, they will be repackaged and sold as new. I am incredibly disappointed because genuine Beadalon pliers are a great product (when they are NEW and undamaged). Revain needs to ensure they source their products from reliable suppliers. I recommend buying these pliers elsewhere!
