Convenient and effective

Our puppy has several bad habits that are not optimal. Keep in mind that these aren't surprisingly bad things, but things like barking at the wrong time, pouncing on visitors, etc. We also have cats that love to do things like gnaw on blind cords and be too rough to play. . At parties we wanted something efficient but not something extreme like stun collars etc. We found this device and from the description it fit the bill and so far we have been quite impressed! We were able to test it tonight and all the animals can hear it (me too, but it's okay) and they all stopped right away. I'll have to report back after a few weeks of use to see if it's effective in the long term, but so far it definitely seems like it's helping! Apart from a few things I really like - a wrist strap when we go for a walk will be very nice, because one less problem, but it will be scarce. It's also rechargeable, so there are no disposable batteries, which I really like. Update: We have a pool and our pup loves it when other pups visit him with their humans (our friends). We had a pool party and while we don't mind having a dog or two in the pool every now and then to cool off, we definitely don't want them there all the time. One of the visiting bitches we have to watch a little more closely because she loves to jump again and again. She is a great dog, but her fathers are also afraid that she might break the liner if she jumps without the help of a person to help her. After telling her no a few times, I used it twice and it worked exceptionally well. She stopped jumping unprompted and instead stood at the edge of the pool, waiting to be called. Update #2: We had various friends and one of their dogs likes to "tag" when he stays indoors. His owners prefer him to be outside with us (he has plenty of water, shade, goes swimming in the pool so he's fine), but every time you go to the house he demands to come inside, and acting such a BC ninja, you won't see him slip through! This is also true if you tell him "no" and push him back - he just doesn't have a respect zone yet. What's worse is when you're inside, when he's outside he barks non-stop and keeps jumping/pushing the door. I used this exactly once and every bit of this bad behavior stopped immediately. The next time I went in I had it with me and said no. He kept trying to push past me, so I told him no again and pushed the button. After that, he VERY politely sat at the door and didn't try again. That's great! Update #2: One of our canine friends is still in need of a fix here and there. Her parents agree that we use it when necessary and she responds well to this device. We watched her and her brother and took everyone for a walk. We took it for a walk and only had to use it ONCE. It made such a big difference compared to when we first got it. Better yet, it works remotely too. We passed a house where dogs are ULTRA nasty about 3/4 block from us. When we were close enough (20ft) I pressed for two seconds and they stopped barking completely, went out the window and relaxed. Still in love.
