I bought this birdhouse to put outside in our backyard woodland of English dog tribes to provide a ready home for the little birds that visit our North Florida birdhouse. So far I haven't noticed any results. The house is the difficult part that people choose to make, the hinge is easy to make. In fact the hinge for this house was broken upon arrival, I wouldn't downgrade the rating because of that. In fact, I wouldn't trust what's been set up for field use anyway. A regular plastic Ty-Rap can be threaded through the top of the house and used to create a loop. Go around a branch or something with another Ty-Rap and hit the birdhouse. Ty rap loop done.
