"Waterproof " definition

After about 15 boat trips I found the left side filled with water and started to rust on the LEDs inside the "soldered" block. With the headlights on, only two separate LEDs on the left side still work. I had to drill holes to let the rusty water out of the "soldered" knot. The fork was also of poor design and didn't interface well with my truck's factory fork. The device came with both male and female plugs, but I will not cut off the factory plug.
