🚤 CZC AUTO 12V LED Low Profile Submersible Rectangular Trailer Light Kit: Ultimate Tail Stop, Turn, and Running Lights for Boat Trailer, Truck, and Marine" Review

The light went out today when I plugged it in and noticed the light was very dim. 2-3 LEDs light up on each side. After removing the headlights from the trailer, I noticed that there was a lot of water in the headlight and everything inside looked rusty. I even took care when installing these lights by putting a silicone gasket on every possible part.

Used these taillights for about a month after fitting them on the trailer. Have only been to the lake and have dived about 4 times. The right rear light is already burned out and not even remotely waterproof. Terrible lights and no way to dive underwater. In this shot, after 4 days of sitting after visiting the lake and even after the Arizona heatwave, there is still moisture in the lens.

After about 15 boat trips I found the left side filled with water and started to rust on the LEDs inside the "soldered" block. With the headlights on, only two separate LEDs on the left side still work. I had to drill holes to let the rusty water out of the "soldered" knot. The fork was also of poor design and didn't interface well with my truck's factory fork. The device came with both male and female plugs, but I will not cut off the factory plug.

I installed this kit on my Seadoo trailer when the factory headlights rusted after 8 years. These only lasted a few months. So far so good with the lights. But the wiring harness rusts in the insulation. I'm guessing it's copper clad aluminum since dissimilar metals corrode faster. I'm looking for a good quality set of pure copper wires to replace this one so I can enjoy the summer season. Original kit broke after a few months, water filled left rear sealed LED assembly. Contacted CZC, they replaced the entire set. New kit on the porch 2 days after contacting CZC. There was a suspicion that the LED module was sealed, prior to installation I was prepared to silicone seal the assembly myself. I used this kit to expand my small boat trailer. The headlights are bright and a good size. I had to drill a few holes for the bolts. After two descents of the boat into the salt water, the wiring harness wires broke, despite coating the connections with liquid plastic. I must have tried stripping the wires four or five times before I got a clean wire. I'll probably use heavier marine wire. The included wire is fine unless used in salt water or in marine environments, but I wouldn't risk it…

Bought these in Summer 2018 for $32.49 but put the wiring harness aside and used the one already on the trailer. A year and a half later, the right gauge stopped working. In 2020 I tried to install the wire harness that came with the lights but when I cut the wire harness to length I found that one conductor of each right/left pair just melted in the insulation! Editing my previous review: After sharing his experience with the seller, the seller generously offered to send a replacement lighting kit. I quickly received replacement headlights and installed the included wiring harness. At the moment the wire is holding up well. Thanks to the seller for the reply and for sending a replacement.
