Chic and functional! Perfect for hiking and testing!

In general, I really like my sports vest. I wear it every day when I walk my dogs. I like to have enough space in my bag for cookies, keys and cell phone. The vest looks nice and sporty. I'm 5ft 6in, 117lbs, slim build and I have an XS. It's roomy enough that I can wear it over a winter down jacket if needed, but when I wear it over a t-shirt it doesn't feel bulky. There are a few things I don't like about this vest: Goodies is just on the left. I am right handed and prefer to keep treats in the right pocket. I don't understand why they don't offer a waterproof treat liner on the right side with additional velcro or make it accessible from both sides. large left pocket. It's not the end of the world, but it kind of defeats the purpose of having the liner in the first place. I want them to design velcro strips that completely wrap around the perimeter of the bag. The gray trim and thread are already starting to wear out. I've only had it a few months and I'm already noticing that some of the trimmings (pilling) have worn off and some of the threads are starting to fray at the seams. Again, this isn't the end of the world for me, but at $130 I would have preferred a more durable finish and threading.4. My hair is constantly tucked into the button on the back of the collar. Not sure how this plastic button is held onto the fabric of the collar but my hair wraps around it at least twice a day and it hurts! It doesn't matter if I'm in a ponytail or my hair is down. Inevitably, my hair will frizz around the base of the button. Ouch! While there is definitely room for improvement with this vest, I still think it's the best option out there at this price point. I've seen so many training vests that look very sloppy. This one looks sleek and flattering. I've worn it on many trials and hikes and am confident in how it looks and performs.

Pros
  • HOOD. A thin, waterproof hood stows in the collar to be there when you need it and stowed away when you don't.
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
