Let me help you charge 101 people If your battery pack is 48 volts (T875, CR-165 or GC8V batteries) you will need at least 14 plus amps, to charge your battery pack. Here is the calculation when you have used 80% of the battery capacity. You used 132 Ah (165 x 0.8 = 132). You lose 20% of the energy going into the battery through internal resistance and heat. So you need to measure 132 times 1.2 to determine how many amp hours to replace (158.4 amp hours). Now it's simple math. You have 158.4 amp hours to replace, divide 158.4 by the capacity of your charger. 158.4 divided by 14 = 11.31 HOURS! At 6 amps it takes 26.4 hours to charge the battery! I have over 30 years of experience in the battery industry. Visit the Battery Council International website for more information.
