Partial peeling is harder to resist than expected

I tried to follow the directions not to manually peel it but the skin started peeling where the center of gravity is (the paw pads right at the base of the big toes). ) and it makes walking very uncomfortable until I take them off. I'm not sure if this will affect the rest of the peeling procedure as my toe tips never come off on their own afterwards and I spent the remaining month after the procedure peeling off pieces from time to time.
