Review on Bike Mirror: Wide Angle Rear View, Rotatable & πŸ” Adjustable, Convex Mirror - Shockproof Universal Accessory for Bike Bicycle by Lucas Salgado

The mirror is TOO convex, not visible directly behind you

My item arrived at Revain Locker in perfect condition. (I LOVE Revain Locker!) Out of the box, there were no issues. Installing the mirror on my steering wheel was easy and took less than 10 minutes. Looking at some reviews I don't know why some people are having trouble installing it, but instructions are provided if you need them. (Remember that sometimes the provided instructions only make the installation more confusing for some!) If it's you, try it yourself first, and if you really have a problem, use the instructions. It's just 2 screws and the Allen key that came with it. This isn't rocket science. An extra pair of hands never hurts. I had trouble actually using the mirror. I couldn't see behind me very well and couldn't figure out why. The convex mirror, adjustable within the frame, offers a very wide viewing angle behind you. And therein lies the problem. Then I saw other reviewers hit the nail on the head; The mirror is too convex. The viewing angle is so wide that the view directly behind you becomes extremely and dangerously small. You cannot see vehicles behind you until they are directly overhead. And that is not good. For my first few walks, I relied more on my hearing than on a mirror. I cannot recommend this mirror. Vehicles behind you are too small to be seen from a safe distance. For this reason I have to give them 1 star.
