Received today. I have tried/owned many coffee gadgets. I took it with me on long trips. When I first used this coffee maker I was very impressed. I ran a French press and a classic taste test side by side. First Impression: Made great coffee but not as rich as a French Press. The only thing I would like to clarify with Cafflano is: is the microwave safe for the kettle? otherwise it does everything it takes to make a great mug. I like to have three controls: tempo, grind and steepness. It does an excellent job at it. If you are looking for a purer taste, use a paper filter. It would have been a five star rating if the grinder handle was a little stronger and the mug had an airtight screw top lid.
