Review on Hand Kite Baby Toy - Montessori, Sensory Ribbon, Waldorf Wooden Toys For Toddlers And Babies - Rainbow Colors by Ron Damndjperiod

So pretty!: my feedback

My initial thought was I could make these myself. And I could but not for less money than they are selling for here, and with a baby, certainly not the time. I got these because for Mini's 9 month ages and stages assessment one of the tasks (he failed) was pincher grip picking up a piece of string. Until that moment I had studiously avoided giving him bits of string (choking hazard? Who knows.) A friend suggested these as a solution. I don't know if they helped with his picking up string with a pincher grip (he is 12 months and successfully picking up string) but he loves waving them around, and they're just pretty. I love seeing them draped over the toy basket-they make me feel like a rich Montessori mom who buys her child stimulating and education toys (as opposed to the reality, which is a toy basket full of unmatched socks. What can I say, the kid loves socks. And if I didn't think these were so pretty, I'd say save your money, don't buy any baby toys, because your child will prefer to play with socks, landed catalogs, and coasters.)

Pros
  • Set of 2 waldorf hand kites
Cons
  • Not a versatile toy that can be used for different developmental stages
