very stable. easy to put phone in and firm grip
I haven't tried the remote. The legs are great and stay in the position I set them. I've had a similar one with flimsy legs. The ball is easy to put in any position I've wanted and stays. I bought this for my phone but the phone clip unscrews and screw on other cameras. The legs and head do fine with a full size Panasonic camera and a go pro style camera.
