I like them for the precise application of cutting fluids and tapping fluids. They're impervious to solvents, so I keep one filled with mineral spirits and the other with acetone. Ideal for cleaning spray guns and airbrushes. Flip them over and they won't spill. There is virtually no evaporation, making the bottle convenient to use without the cap, which can be lost. Oil-filled bottles allow you to apply a drop of liquid for precision work while saving less mess to clean. Haven't tried alcohol yet but plan to put in denatured alcohol if the plastic is compatible. Even fill it with homemade gun grease, although I cut the tip to a larger hole to allow the semi-viscous grease to flow more easily.
