Review on 🤖 Ecovacs Deebot 711 Robot Vacuum: Smart Navi 2.0, Wi-Fi Connectivity, Ideal for Pet Hair & All Floor Surfaces, Alexa-Compatible by Zach Flame

I generally like the performance of this Robovac 711. Button cleaning modes are different. The 711's main cleaning routine tends to move back and forth in straight lines, while the 500 uses a "random" routine that runs out of space too often. Main program 711 is indicated as preferred for hardwood floors and main program 500 for carpets; however, after briefly observing their comparison operations, I'm not yet convinced of the matter. 711 is "smarter" than 500, with a higher firmware level. As a result, 711s are less likely than 500s to keep re-cleaning the same spots. The 711 cleans well and has decent runtime, although it (and the 500) sometimes freezes in certain situations (confirmed in the manual). The partially beveled edges and the slightly raised floor outlets are problematic here. It's important to note that this device (and the 500) was NEVER dropped off a cliff, which was a pleasant surprise. Some carpets, such as B. fluffy ones in the bathroom can be problematic and are best removed from the floor before cleaning. Shaggy carpets and fringes are very difficult to manage. The rubbish bin has a capacity of approx. 500 ml, but can fill up quickly, especially when cleaning carpets. The filters in the waste area are very effective. The instruction manual for both models has the following shortcomings. (1) Whilst there is a choice of standard and maximum power in the Ecovacs Home app, there is no mention of this aspect or its function in the instructions; There's also no mention that max mode reduces uptime by about 50% (learned from a call to customer service). (2) There are arrow dots on the main button of the remote control (marked in the manual) that don't seem to do anything when the cleaning robot is cleaning. I learned from the support team that they only work when the cleaning robot is in the paused state.
