The webcam installed easily and started working immediately. I wanted this because the corner was tight and shut out most of my surroundings. However, I was not able to get the right color balance. I even tried two different ones and on different computers - but the same problem remained. I looked ghostly pale no matter what light I was in. I covered the table lamp with a light pink cloth to warm up the tone, but it was very annoying and also a fire hazard. I compared my zoomed image to everyone else's and I was the only one who looked washed out. I returned it and ordered a slightly more expensive Logitech that works well with the right complexion.
