I bought this to make sure the water didn't run back down my dehumidifier drain - so far so good!
I have a dehumidifier that runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a week in a small room that also houses my water heater. Instead of thinking about draining the dehumidifier, I installed a drain line from the dehumidifier to the water heater drain valve, but when the relief valve tripped, I didn't want hot water back into my dehumidifier. It seems to be working well - and I hope it stays that way. 5 stars so far!
