Review on Enhanced Remote Control for All Insignia Fire/Smart TV Edition (Excludes Voice Search) [Non-Compatible with Fire Stick] by Eddie Man

This remote works perfectly. It's an IR remote (no mic) while the remote that came with my 50" Insignia FIRE TV is a BT remote (with mic) and hits the target unreliably. I literally have to wait (about 5 seconds) for it. to log the keypress most of the time. Other times, it's ringing (registering too many keystrokes) when you press a key for more than a fraction of a second. I believe for an otherwise great TV they either put the BT antenna in a really bad place or used a really crappy BT module so not only my original remote but also the BT game controller has a range of about 2ft and still hit and miss. I like the TV, otherwise great features and picture but the BT man sucks. The IR remote simply works reliably and consistently. So if you are fed up with the buggy, unreliable BT remote, buy this IR remote, it just works. I keep an Echo in my living room so I don't miss the voice remote control feature of the original. BT remote control (there are no such in IR remote control). Originally I was going to buy a new BT remote but after being convinced that the problem is in the BT module of the TV I got this IR remote instead. Excellent purchase! I advise.
