Good price for a more durable remote control

I have an Insignia Fire TV and in a year and a half I have already thrown away 3 remote controls. The remote controls that came with the TV feel cheap and will break if dropped. I got these today for a fraction of the cost of branded remotes and I'm already impressed. He feels strong. The battery compartment is much more reliable. Connected to TV immediately with no issues. I've never needed or wanted voice control, so this remote is definitely the way to go. And I'm so happy with the price…

Works great when the BT remote that came with the TV doesn't work.

This remote works perfectly. It's an IR remote (no mic) while the remote that came with my 50" Insignia FIRE TV is a BT remote (with mic) and hits the target unreliably. I literally have to wait (about 5 seconds) for it. to log the keypress most of the time. Other times, it's ringing (registering too many keystrokes) when you press a key for more than a fraction of a second. I believe for an otherwise great TV they either put the BT antenna in a really bad place or used a really crappy BT…

Works great and the price is reasonable.

I love this remote control. This is the only one I've found for a reasonable price. The buttons are more like a Roku remote, so I actually feel more comfortable now that I've gotten used to it. It's not strictly a voice feature, but I don't use it when I'm at my desk, so it works. I use the voice function when I'm in bed, but I still have the original remote, still not lost. I'm less likely to lose my remote if I have one in each of the places I'm likely to use it. That's what I love so much…

This remote control is working properly. It's an IR remote (no mic) while the remote that came with my 50" Insignia FIRE TV is a BT remote (with mic) and hits the target unreliably. This can range from nothing to too much, which is very frustrating for a great TV. I believe, they…

Buttons no longer work, very disappointed!

Seriously, DON'T DO IT! The buttons work *maybe* ⅓ of the time. When we first used it we found it amazing because it automatically connects to the TV with no programming required. (We also wondered if someone could walk around with this remote and change someone's channels if they had a compatible TV. Something to think about.) BUT the buttons on the remote quickly stopped working. We usually have to press any button 2-5 times to get the actual response from the TV. We don't even use the remote
