Review on Enhanced Remote Control for All Insignia Fire/Smart TV Edition (Excludes Voice Search) [Non-Compatible with Fire Stick] by Warren Hess

This remote control is working properly. It's an IR remote (no mic) while the remote that came with my 50" Insignia FIRE TV is a BT remote (with mic) and hits the target unreliably. I literally have to wait (about 5 seconds) for it. to log the keypress most of the time. In other cases, ringing (registering too many keystrokes) will occur if you press a key for more than a fraction of a second. This can range from nothing to too much, which is very frustrating for a great TV. I believe, they either placed the BT antenna in a really bad place, both used a really crappy BT module so not only my original remote but also the BT game controller only has a range of about 2ft and still hits. Love the TV, otherwise great features and pictures but BT sucks. The IR remote control works reliably and stably. So if you're fed up with the buggy, unreliable BT remote, buy this IR instead, it just works. I have an Echo in my living room so I don't miss the voice remote control function on the original BT remote (the IR remote doesn't have one). Originally I wanted to buy a new BT remote control, but after I was convinced, that the problem is in the BT module of the TV, I got this IR remote instead. Excellent purchase! I advise.
