Another reviewer mentions this, but I'll add my impression: the design of this chair isn't perfect. The entire body weight is carried by two hinges that offer enormous flexibility. Upon unpacking, both chairs had an unacceptable flex to the point where the base of the chairs was just a few inches off the floor. The back was over 135 degrees and unusable at that angle. Sitting in it on the kitchen floor, I touched the floor. I am 5 feet 11 inches 175 tall. I didn't expect these chairs to be used by most people, at least not for very long. Maybe some of them are made to tighter tolerances and the hinges might not let you down, but these aren't premium chairs. I returned them.
