This dryer came with a heating option which I thought would be nice in the wintertime. Even with the heater off, the air gets uncomfortably warm if you arent quickly moving it across the dog. I have large, long hair dogs so this might not be a problem with a smaller dog. Otherwise it has plenty of power and does get the job done. The hose is long enough and it isnt very loud. It even has enough power to blow the hair clippings off the patio when done. For a home unit, it is great. I did have to let it cool down in between dogs though.Edit: the heater switch is labeled backwards. I flipped it to 'on' to see how much hotter it would get and it ran cool.
