They don't absorb a lot of water. When I moved my plants I found moisture where these saucers were. I will say they look way better than plastic bowls. I think it's reasonable for the price. Just be aware that they only hold a small amount of moisture and you'll need to check the moisture underneath your plants (at least if you have hardwood floors you want to protect) until you find out how much water your plants really are without need water. drain from below.
