There is absolutely no excuse not to wear a back protector, especially with this quality and price. Spinal injuries are no joke. Do yourself a favor and invest if you don't already have back protection. As for the product, it's CE level 2 and it looks like it. This flexible and durable profile cures fairly well on impact. It comes in a black bag only - no plastic wrap. Mine had black marks on it, which is probably just due to it picking up leftovers/dirt from the bag itself. At this price, who cares. He's still just sitting in his sleeve, and the markings don't compromise the integrity of the armor in any way.
