A little background: I recently converted my 20" Diamondback Outlook mountain bike into an e-bike and needed a new stand to take the extra weight ( about 90 pounds) to deal with in total) ). After trying a few center pins and being unhappy with the reduced ride height and chain friction issues, I decided to try the rear axle model. I found that the slotted hole that goes to the axle was a bit too small to miss the threads on the axle, so I took a rounded file and cut off enough metal in both rounded ends of the hole for it to lean as well When the stand is around 20-30 degrees I'm impressed with the stability but might choose to flex the mounting flange a bit to get the bike a little more upright. Working with the kickstand is great on my bike, but you can't go wrong with a heavy bike with a modification or two.
