Received this item and several other hot melt patches earlier than scheduled today. I am happy to report back to you and I am very happy with it. If I had to change something in this topic; This will be the glue used for the glued base. The adhesive itself holds the patch in place; but not edge to edge as one might expect. Some corners curled even after lengthening with the iron; So you can either invest in a bottle of super glue or sew it on while the backing will hold it in place. In general however; This is a great patch and I would recommend everyone to buy it.
