I bought this adapter for my Firestick 4K. I wanted to add a flash drive and keyboard and make streaming as buffer-free as possible, so WiFi had to be dropped. After some research I've found that you need to be using at least USB 3.0 to get proper ethernet speeds. This unit covered all my needs and left an open port which I now use for a 2TB portable SSD. The device doesn't come with a power adapter, which isn't needed for a keyboard, mouse, or flash drive, but is needed for the slightly more power-hungry. I've been using this setup for about 3 months now and this adapter has not been a shape or form issue in any way. I opened it up, plugged in all my devices and ethernet, turned on the tv and firestick and everything just worked. I hoped. I highly recommend this, especially for the Firestick extension and direct internet connection.
