Glides are smooth with very little positive closing, but they have a distinctive sound similar to that of a mine car or roller coaster. My original stamped metal rails are actually much quieter than these. Also, narrow holes require some dexterity to insert due to the down/tilt angle you must use to install the drawer. I had to cut off the top back of the drawers a bit to install them. If you want very cheap and smooth slides but don't care about noise, these are the way to go. I can just about shell out the more expensive Blum tandem. The screws you use in these cheap ones are very important! Protruding screw heads cause additional noise and friction. They should come with the screws you need. Also, this seller requires you to buy at least 6. Cheap enough that it's not too much of a problem, but I don't see this anywhere.
