Great for Bible Journal art projects

I bought this specifically for Bible Journal because I didn't want to color the Bible pages directly. Also, I like that I can see the words through the wax paper. A Bible page is smaller than wax paper, so I had to cut it in half. This is perfect because it means I doubled the amount of wax paper to 1000 pieces; making it excellent value for money. I use markers, crayons and wax paper markers and it really makes art pop. I would suggest drawing with wax paper on a white sheet of paper as it serves two purposes; This allows you to see your design better and it catches wax paper bleeds. However, I didn't really have much profile from the markers I used; maybe a few dots here and there. To be on the safe side, I always paint with this on blank paper before gluing the Bible page. Wax paper is also great for printing. I prefer typing to tracing or drawing simply because it's easier for me; but it is ok for drawing and tracing. Since I had to cut it in half for the Bible page, I came up with a paper guide to help me print my design in the right place on the wax paper. I use a guide to put wax paper on top with masking tape and then send it through the printer. Judging by the weight of the waxed paper, I wouldn't recommend shipping it separately or it will get stuck or crumple in the printer. I always send through the printer on leader paper. I also like that the wax paper has a jagged edge and I use this as part of my design for the outside of the Bible. You must determine the correct side to print on wax paper if you plan to use edging as part of your project. I suggest you attach it properly, otherwise it will wrinkle as it goes through the printer and could mess up your design. I had crumpled wax paper, but that didn't bother me because I just smoothed it out and filled in the drawing with a pencil or black marker with fine dots. I haven't used water based paints so I don't know how it will hold up if you use water based paints. However, the markers I use dry almost instantly and don't smudge. I would also advise you to be gentle and careful with wax paper as it tears easily due to its thinness. I had a few small tears that didn't bother me because I removed the masking tape. And I just cut it off. Overall, I love this waxed craft paper. I give 5 stars because I am very happy with the end result.
