Review on Maxi Jet 727085 1200 Water Pump by Kristen Smith

TL;DR: A fairly powerful but noisy pump that is best used for occasional tasks unless you are deaf or don't mind loud grinding noises. This is a very powerful pump and works well for pumping large volumes of water to and from my many aquariums through my 50 foot faucet. I've used it a few times the day of the water change and the only problem I've had so far, albeit a small one, was that it wouldn't pump water when more than half the length of the hose was present. above the pump. That being said, I will most likely never use this particular pump to power anything that requires constant power. As many other reviews say, it's noisy. The motor head is held in place with a magnet, which I believe is the source of the loud grinding/rattling noise (I'm not sure the Cobalt MJ1200 works the same way). Regardless of why, I would definitely get tired of hearing this all the time if I was using it to power a swamp or whatever.
