Review on Conair Active Waterfall Lights Bubbles by Jessica Johnson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Whistles and bells: A+. Depth: D. Sharpness: F

I really wanted to like that. I had an accident and broke my leg, so the soak was more of a necessity than a relaxation at the end of the day. I used a regular hot tub but didn't like that it cooled down quickly so I looked for something heated. The Conair Waterfall Food Spa seemed like just what I needed... initially. Advantages: + very good bubble effect. Really nice "jacuzzi" like experience + a waterfall over the top of the foot is an interesting feel and quite nice + the lighting gives the device a bit of ambience which is nice too + the position of the controls is easy to reach your toes so No need to bend down to squeeze them + extra massage tools (stone, brush, etc.) can be placed out of the water on the center post for you to simply rub with your feet at will In addition to the options of scrub and massage are pads from loops good. The instructions say they are removable, but I still don't understand how to do it and I didn't want to break the plastic rings they are attached to. Cons: - very, very small. When I first used the device I filled it up but although I thought I was under the max fill line I obviously exceeded it as it was bubbling/splashing out of the tub and making enough havoc so I stopped it and put a large towel underneath to catch water. The second time I filled it up I only stopped at the max line and splashes were minimal. However, at "maximum fill" the water is about halfway to your foot. It's like stepping into a shallow puddle with bumps. I would call it a "sole bath" (but that sounds weird) rather than a "foot bath". Get in and roll your legs forward or back as you like, but I found them uncomfortable so I took them off. It's not too difficult, but you have to be careful as the small pins that hold them in the support post like an axle can easily break when you pull the posts out of the base of the hot tub. , or rather its lack. The whole point of buying this thing was warmth, and as just about every other person has pointed out (yeah, I figured maybe I'd get lucky, or since I wasn't looking for hot water I'd be fine). There is none. I might have thought I had a faulty unit, but based on the sheer volume of reviews stating that they also had heating issues, I have to assume my experience was on par with others. The device just doesn't heat up. nothing I put the water in it as hot as possible and after 5 minutes it was cool. This is because the bubbles expose a much larger surface area of the water to the air, allowing the water to cool to room temperature quickly. I scooped out 2 cups of water and then added another very hot cup of water (to prevent it from overflowing) to try to keep warm, but in less than 5 minutes the water was cool again. Some others have suggested turning the fizz off to reduce this effect, but isn't this just a simple foot bath you use? For me there was no noticeable thermal effect. I really wanted to like it and for whistles and bells especially at this price point it's amazing as you can tell from most of the positive points listed but as I wanted it mainly for warmth and it didn't work ANYTHING it was a failure and i gave it back I have purchased a deeper heated foot spa (much more expensive) and the one I found has to LOWER the heat as it gets too hot, but there is no LED light therapy and the bubble effect is more like a water fountain bubbler... so what about , if I could find something that combined the whistles and bells of this Conair unit with the thermal effect of its replacement, THEN we would indeed have something.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Can I add anything
