The title of my review pretty much sums it up. This is a relatively cheap stabilizer as most of these stabilizers can easily cost over $200. I bought it to use on several trips to Big Sur, Yosemite and Lake Tahoe. Paired with the brilliant iPhone X camera, this thing is GREAT for that purpose. As a product alone (in other words, excluding the app, I'll get to that later) it's great for phones and delivers beautifully smooth footage almost every time. As long as you don't accidentally turn it on without a phone installed (which I did a couple of times, oops), the motors are quiet and work very well. The joystick is very convenient and can be used as an external battery. I attached this thing to the flexible mini tripod I had and was able to get great timed group photos, perfectly stabilized left-right pans and good still shots anywhere. If you're buying this, I highly recommend getting a mini tripod as well. Overall, this is a great stabilizer for beginners! It fits my iPhone X perfectly, even with a case on. So there are still a few things to discuss about this. The charging cable is flat which is a nice plus! The fact that it's included is something I like. The battery life is great too. I spent a whole week using this thing every day without charging it. There is an Apple app that you download and fill in some information and it then syncs to Gimbal very easily. It automatically adjusts everything for alignment etc. The app also has a very handy simple video editor. The app may need improvement, but you can still use the stabilizer without the app. The build seems solid and nothing flimsy! I like many features: Easy to switch smartphone orientation; and the balance is set; Huge hour battery life; The controls on the handle work well to name a few.
