I bought 2 of these lamps. I had trouble finding replacement lampshades for my existing lamps that didn't cost a fortune. A lamp worked perfectly as a bedside lamp in my bedroom. The other lamp was to replace the small lamp that sits on my lady's rolling table where I work on my laptop. I want a lampshade that directs the light downwards and the shape of the lampshade on this lamp doesn't. At $10 a lamp, the price was great. I will use the second lamp elsewhere in my house. I am still looking for a replacement lampshade for my existing lamp. but. It will likely be expensive to find a lampshade that is the right size/shape.
