After my child broke another boxspring I decided it was time to find a platform bed frame that would eliminate the need to purchase a new one. This frame came to my attention because the weight limit is reasonable and they're able to continue using their existing headboard.The bed frame came well package and well labeled. Each piece has a sticker on it that corresponds with the included building directions. The hardware had rusted in the package which was a little annoying because it made my hands feel dirty but it didn't interfere with how they functioned.All steps were very easy to build until it came to the slats. They were a challenge to put in place because of the design. I understand the need for the design because it makes the frame really sturdy but it was pretty tricky getting each one exactly in place the way it needed to be. Once I got everything lined up in the holes I just hit the metal slat with the heel of my hand to get it firmly in place.I moved the bed frame into place on my own and there was some play in the frame while I was moving it alone. Once it was where it needed to be it was perfectly fine. I placed their mattress on it and I couldn't believe how sturdy it felt! It lined up really well with their headboard and the frame was sturdy enough that two people totaling over 400lbs were laying on the bed without any issues.Putting the slats in place was a headache and took me a lot longer than I wanted it to, but I think the stability in the bed frame makes it totally worth it. The cost is very manageable and not having to buy another box spring makes me so much happier. I'm pleased with this order and my child has mentioned multiple times how much more comfortable their bed is.
