Pretty Cool Vinyl

This vinyl is amazing if you know what you are doing. Although the kit doesn't come with instructions on how to cut or heat press, I figured out what to do to get my Cricut Maker to cut and press this. The reason for only 4 instead of 5 stars is the lack of instructions. I was asked to make this glow in the dark party cape and here is what I found. CUTTING: Make sure your cutting machine is set for shiny iron. I'm focusing on the hardware because the second time I used this vinyl I just went with a glossy vinyl and didn't damage it. I cut it TWICE without unloading the mat (just press the cricut button again without pressing the unload button). I like to check if it will cut by taking my weeding tool and checking next to the cut if it will tear BEFORE the mat is fully discharged. That's how I realized that I had chosen the wrong material because it didn't weed. PRESS: I used my standard 305° for 15 seconds with backing and parchment paper. And then another 10-15 seconds without a pad, but with parchment paper. You will be very satisfied with the results. Amazing vinyl and I love how it glows so bright in the dark and holographically during the day.

Pros
  • Easy Cut & Weed - Made from New Composite Material - Integrated Chameleon and Luminous. Make your project easier. (TIPS: 190 microns thick, cutter needs to be adjusted for thin card stock)
Cons
  • Very Expensive
